Fast Video Cutter works entirely in your browser. Your video files are processed locally on your device (using WebCodecs) and are never uploaded to our servers. We cannot see, copy, or steal your content.
1. Local Processing Promise
Unlike traditional online video editors, Fast Video Cutter is a client-side application. When you "upload" a file, it simply moves into your browser's temporary memory. All editing operations (trimming, merging, adding audio) happen on your CPU. No video data ever leaves your computer.
2. Data Collection
While we do not collect your files, we collect minimal anonymous data to ensure the tool works correctly:
- Website Analytics: We use privacy-friendly analytics (via Cloudflare) to count visitors and page views.
- Error & Usage Logs: When an export finishes (or fails), our system sends an automated notification (via Discord Webhook) containing technical metadata, such as:
- File extension (e.g., .mp3, .mp4)
- Duration of the clip
- Processing time
Note: We deliberately do not store or transmit the actual content of your files.
3. Cookies & Local Storage
We do not use cookies for advertising tracking. We utilize your browser's Local Storage to save your preferences (such as dark mode settings) so you don't have to reset them every time you visit.
4. Third-Party Services
This website is hosted on Cloudflare, which ensures fast global access and security (DDoS protection). Cloudflare may process your IP address strictly for security and operational purposes.
